Job Summary: The Site Engineer is responsible for on-site execution, installation, supervision, and commissioning of paint shops, powder coating systems, and CED (Cathodic Electro Deposition) coating plants. The role involves coordinating with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and as per technical specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise installation, erection, and commissioning of paint shop, powder coating, and CED coating systems.
  • Coordinate civil, mechanical, electrical, and utility-related activities at site.
  • Monitor project schedules, manpower deployment, and daily site activities.
  • Ensure compliance with approved drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for material delivery and site execution.
  • Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and support troubleshooting during commissioning.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality norms, and company policies at site.
  • Prepare daily progress reports, site logs, and documentation.
  • Support trial runs, performance testing, and handover to the client.
  • Liaise with customers for technical clarifications and project updates.

Qualification:

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering (or relevant discipline).

Experience:

  • 2 to 5 years of site experience in paint shops, powder coating systems, CED coating plants, or related industrial coating projects.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of paint shop processes, powder coating lines, and CED coating systems.
  • Understanding of surface preparation, pretreatment, ovens, conveyors, booths, tanks, and utilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
  • Basic knowledge of commissioning procedures and quality checks.
